Day 2 of sight seeing in Rome

Day 2 of sight seeing in Rome

A blueberry muffin for me, a sandwich and a cup of cuppucino for Mr Ang started our second day.... looks simple but still cost us 6.80 euro lo.... i just have to complain again.... everything in europe is so freaking expensive.... =P

took the metro to Ottaviano station, then followed the crowd to Piazza San Pietro (Saint Peter’s Basilica).... said to be Italy’s biggest, richest and most spectacular church.

look at the number of people entering the church.... said to have more than 20000 visitors in a day lo.... maybe cos it's free...so all travel agencies also bring their tourists here for a visit....

not loading all the photos here...too many le.... taking ages to load.... will be loading into facebook when we are back instead...

Mr Ang's favourite position..... took lots and lots of photo of me.... =)

Amazed at their talent....

all they need is a black pen.... power!!!!

we have water cooler in singapore's tourist attractions for people to quench their thirst, rome has water fountains.... water are just consistantly flowing out from these fountains...wonder where these water came from and where they flow to .... better dun think too much else wun dare to drink from it.... hahahahaha.... cos they are really god's sent when u need free cold water...=)

What i love about Free and Easy travelling is that we can wake up at anytime we like and we can just eat when we are hungry... =)....

this little store with a super cute counter boy caught our (MY) attention... hee... and so we decided to have an early lunch

he so cheeky lo.... still winked at me when i was taking his photo... wait Mr Ang jealous how??? hahaha....

Deco of the place... simple and nice..... cosy and chic

12.20 euro for a slice of pizza (super yummy), a plate of pasta and a can of spritz...

Second stop of the day - Castel San’Angelo

the bridge lined with angels

plenty of such snack vans at all tourist attractions....to provide visitors with sandwiches ranging from 3 to 5 euros and bottle drinks from 3 euros onwards...

another man statue

a unique pix of us on Mr Ang's new shade (5 euro) from roadside vendor...

Third stop of the day - Vatican Museum

Everyone say die die must visit Vatican Museum......so though we skipped paying for the Castel Sant'Angelo and the Colosseo, I insisted that we have to pay to visit this museum in detail..... but super regret lo.... guess we are just not cultural enough or not holy enough.... oopx..... dun know how to appreciate the galleries and more galleries of white statues and carpets etc.....

But i'm glad that Mr Ang entertained me instead....hahahaha.... check out the silly photos that i forced him to take.... heee

....the black among the whites....

....hello, anybody there???...

...it's getting hot in here... let's take a shower in here...

i cant be the only one who dosen understand nor appreciate all these white statues leh.... they are all like so boring.... regretted paying 15 euro each for the entrance ticket lo.... but if say that i m not a museum person, also not quite right leh cos i enjoy the cambodia and vietnam history so much that i did my own research on them after visiting these two countries and their museums lo.....

maybe i was too tired??? maybe because i din hire the audio guide so i dun understand the meaning behind the statues??? or m i just sick in the brain to enjoy war kind of history where people are tortured instead??? oopx....

The famous spiral staircase of Vatican Museum....

Came back with aching feet.....took a 1.5 hour nap again before we head out for dinner.... the menu displayed outside the shop "TWINS" caught our attention....9 euro set meal.... =).... from the front, the cafe looked ordinary so to our surprise when we were led into the inner restaurant...so romantic with the red deco and beautiful lightings ... and they were playing retro music...

carbonara and fries with white wine at 9 euro

fried chicken, fries and salad with spritz at 10 euro

taste super yummy...=)

a cup of cuppucino from the cafe at the metro station to end the day for Mr Ang.... only 1.30 euro per cup....

can tell Mr Ang is red from his face to his arm???

He's red from the red wine from dinner...
