Bangkok Day 3 - Chinatown

one of the main reason that i was back in bangkok is that i m running low on hair clips....wahahaha.... and the best place to get them is at Chinatown....everything is just super cheap at chinatown cos it's a super wholesale market..... luv it to the max

but the weird thing was that none of the cab wanted to charge by meter.... after trying with at least 4 cabs, we caved in and agreed to pay ฿200 (S$8) for the trip there

so happy to see so many hair clips at super affordable prices... =D

all 12 clips for ฿100 (S$4)... joyce took one, mabel took one... am left with 10....

all 12 clips for ฿80 (S$3.20)

all 12 for ฿36 (S$1.45)...joyce took a pink one and gave all the rest to Angela who always pay $1 each in singapore

it's a must for me to visit this stationery shop which is 4 storeys tall in Thailand chinatown to stock up on children's day present.... =)

clay for the kiddos around me....   ฿23 each ($0.92) ... joyce collected one for her nephew.... now left with 5.... who wants???

love the coloured instruction printed behind... =)

bought 3 packs of note pad at ฿25 (S$1) per pack of 4...

2 packs of heart origami at ฿84 (S$3.36) per pack of 24

2 boxes of pencils at  ฿198 (S$7.92) per box of 72

cards in singapore are really expensive so imagine my delight when i saw these cards at only  ฿12 (S$0.48) each ....

Chinatown is so fun to shop now...bought a wide variety of stuff
saw this clock selling at $29.90 in AMK hub so bought it immediately when i saw that it was only selling at  ฿450 (S$18)...it could be even cheaper if i bought 2... but for what??? i cant give a clock as a gift right???? choy....

5 stones-shape coin pouches at 10 for  ฿100 (S$4).... mummy took 1 so left with 9.... who wants???

Jack Skellington.... alfred's favourite....

more pouches at  ฿120 (S$4.80) for 12....kept 1 for myself, gave 1 each to jasmine, jane, suti and mabel and left with 7....who wants????

a pack of 6 DIY cards at  ฿80 (S$3.20)

One good thing about bangkok is that we can always cab back to the hotel to unload all the shopping stuff before going for second round....wahahaha....

took the free shuttle bus to Siam area and walked over to MBK once more....
bought another 4 gigantic cards at a total of  ฿143 (S$5.72)  ... turn over rate abit the high in my profession ah... might as well get a few more since it's so cheap.....

had a simple lunch at MBK foodcourt....not nice de...=S... so immediately went to compensate our tummy with

din managed to find anything worthy enough for me to spend my precious baht on so we took the BTS (thai version of MRT) to Central World.... and bumped into ex-colleague, Wu Xia with her hubby.... such a small small world.... of all places....

just like our translink card in the 90s

went all the way to central world cos Mabel wanted to go to a bigger naraya.... but wrong decision cos there were just too many ppl in here so alot of the things she wanted was out of stock... we should have just shop at the smaller outlet with a much lesser crowd at siam tower....

doughnut time once more.... =) ....

wasn't feeling very well that day so set off for room sweet room very early.... kongz out before 10pm... that's what too much shopping and the first day of relative visit did to me... =S

Hi,

Thanks for the post.

Can advise where is the exact address and location of the 4 storey stationery shop in Chinatown, Bangkok? Thinking of getting some stationery for my kids.

Thanks.

oopx.... i am really not sure of the exact location... i was back there just last month and found that there are many more of these multi-story stationery shops. Definitely no problem in finding one that you like. =)
