Hong Kong Day 4 - From Hong Kong to Macau (taipa)

17 December 2012, Monday

took mtr to sheung wan, exit D, take escalator all to way to the top level.... plenty of ferry companies and the one i chose was COTAI

bought the 130pm ferry ticket at HK$151 (S$24)  and the return ticket for 730pm at HK$171 (S$27.15).... return tickets after 530pm are all slightly more expensive

on top of that, they had a birthday promotion package  where birthday boy/girl and a guest get to enjoy a HK$198 (S$31.40) promotion price for both ways

our tickets

our ferry

2 bo liao people on the ferry

reached macau taipa terminal in an hour and took the free shuttle bus to The Venetian  Macao Resort Hotel

rome church like interior

photography is prohibited  in the casino but i managed to secretly snapped a pic with my hp ... =P

this was the game which we played.... it's like wheel of fortune... players have to predict where the red pointer will land for every round.... total of 7 choices to choose from and minimum bet per round was HK$25 (S$3.95)

we lost HK$200 (S$31.75) in less than 15 minutes ... =S

the exterior of the venetian which really looks like St Marco Square in Venice lo

we walked over to City of Dreams (another casino) just across the road to take the free shuttle bus to hotel Sintra

waited 10 minutes for the bus, bus ride took 20 minutes, walked another 10 minutes and we reached Senado Square, an area where the buildings and pavement are still very portugal-ish

Didn't have time to look around cos mr ang was on high paranoid mood....he was super worried that we would miss the bus back to city of dream then miss the bus to the ferry terminal then miss the ferry back to hong kong....

almost everyone who was walking away was holding a bag from this shop so we followed suit

saw macau tower, the tallest tower in macau,  on the bus ride to the ferry terminal

because of mr ang's kan cheong-ness, we were ahead of time and managed to catch the earlier ferry at 7pm

had dinner at this restaurant at the Hong Kong ferry terminal which mr ang's friend recommeded

char siew was fatty and yummy.... very expensive though.... HK$42 (S$6.65) per plate with a drink
