day trips into JB, Msia

chun yang was on leave and so off we went into JB for some good food....

super tender 猪脚 which drove me nuts... =D

bak kut teh with lots of mushrooms and tao kee.... yummilious soup base too...

all these, together with two bowls of rice and 2 glasses of ice jelly only cost $60+rm... with the current conversion, it cost us only S$26... confirm worth it much much... =D

and what a good laugh i had when mr ang told me that this was the shop where his colleague always helped me to get my favourite jolly bee ice jelly from....
i had just missed the chance to stock up another carton ... sob sob sob!!!

chanced upon my favourite snack while shopping... sour mango with sour plum powder at rm$2 per 100g

was sharing with chunyang that my astig is getting worse due to starring at computer and handphone screens ALL THE TIME... and he recommended the optical shop, Focus Point, which he had his specs made at...

i asked for good quality lens and was recommended Hoya Blue Control lens that has a warranty of 2 years at $400rm (S$155) for the whole specs... this is way cheaper than the S$238 quoted just for the lens at the optical shop opposite home sweet home lo.. thanks to exchange rate in our favour... =)

as the spec would only be ready in a week's time, we had to make another visit to collect it and hence another pig out meal at JB... wahahahaha

home-made ice jelly that was less sweet and less sour then my usual but equally yummy!!!

烧肉 and honey glazed BBQ pork

my favourite dang gui duck...

crab meat (not crabstick oh) sharkfin soup

unique way of frying kai lan with pork floss... i like...

the duck was so yummy that i bought one whole duck back to singapore and all these only cost $140rm which was only S$55 la... so good deal lo.....

Thanks "maggot" for all the good recommendation and the drive in on both days... =) ... and remember our seafood feast in the next drive in ah!!!!

transformers time after lunch... took bus 335 from jurong bus interchange to science centre as we were too lazy to walk there under the sweltering sun....

the exhibition is now on till 1 March 2015... ticket price at $30 per adult ... 10% discount for NETSFlashPay cards

this climbing out from the ground robot was located outside science centre ....

interesting laser game where players try to avoid the laser beams in a dark room.... would luv to give it a try if not for the long long long queue  of at least an hour?!?!?!? .... only 2 players were allowed in the game at any one time which i tot was rather inefficient.... =S

a total of 3 craft stations... kiddos and the young @ heARTs can choose to colour transformers pictures at 2 for $5, make a recycling craft with beads and plastic bottles at $3

or pay $5 to make this 'wall-e' look alike robot from pre-cut cardboard....

movie time was 11am and 230pm and we managed to watch the latter show... i tot it would be a special movie made just for the exhibition.... turned out the movie was transformers 2: rise of the fallen which was filmed in 2009...

for the price of $30 per adult and $22 per kiddo, go enjoy the exhibition only and only if  you or any of ur kiddos are really really really into transformers and if you are interested to watch transformers: Rise of the Fallen with no surround sound and on a hall projector screen... =S

though the exhibition was kind of disappointing but i enjoyed the time spent on such dates with lene
cya next week for high tea... =D
