Day 2 in Japan - Deer Feeding @ Nara Park

took the JR Nara Line Rapid Service from Kyoto station and 44 minutes later, we reached NARA station.... would have cost us 710¥ (S$7.70) each if not for our beloved JR pass ... =)

Nara is famous for its free roaming deers... =)

such a pretty van.....looks like it's for garbage collection?!?!?

pretty pretty manhole cover in Nara

the first deer we saw

collage from Alfred's instagram

reminds me of my brownie and snowy when they rub against the lazy chair at home sweet home

the shines in the park

i think this is a restaurant...

gated toilet to prevent the deer from intruding our privacy... heee

we saw many people feeding the deer with crackers but we couldn't find any sellers/ crackers shops despite asking for directions twice....
this piece of deer cracker was given to us by a super sweet Caucasian boy when i asked him where did he buy his crackers from.... he told us that he had bought them from other places and he was willing to give us 2 pieces .....so sweet of him hor???.... but i think it wasnt very nice of us to deprive him of the joy of feeding the deer so i took only one to be shared among the 4 of us... mum refused to go too near to the deer...

and with crackers in hand, deer came!!!!

ultimate deer-fie by alfred

both praying for great health i hope... Alfred's health condition seems to be lacking ... Been having breathing issues, having fever frequently while mum had just underwent a surgery to remove a cancerous lump in her intestines....
#famfie... =)
depth of field at work....

while we were shopping for souvenirs, Alfred went shopping for food and came back with this super yummy mango orange smoothie....

and this were where we bought our first round of souvenirs.... there were at least 8 stalls along this stretch that sell 90% of the same thing.... magnets, phone straps, files, cookies of nara park.... and they were all priced the same except for the first one on the left which sells his goods a little more expensive...

Meixiang gave me a folder from the whale aquarium in Okinawa and in return i am giving her this from the deer park in Nara.... heeee

this will go up on the fridge in home sweet home... =)

福袋 for 洪papa and 洪mama

and mini 福袋s for the lovely people in my life...

got attracted by the poster outside this ramen store and decided to give it a try..... one of the best decision made that day... =)

slot the money into the machine... press the button with the corresponding number to the picture of the food that we want...
the machine issued a ticket which we passed to the chef
and in 5 to 10 minutes, one of the best ramen i had on this trip was served
the layer of fats on the pork literally melt in my mouth lo..... so yummiliously delicious max....

also love the free-flow of ice-water here and in almost every restaurant... =)

as it was still early, 蔡 mummy suggested checking out the supermarket at Nara station before heading home... and we spent a total of 9000+¥  (S$100) on getting snacks....

see.... each of us had a huge bag of snacks... Obviously mum was very happy with her loot while alvin couldnt comprehend how did he end up spending the most at the supermarket... wahahahaha....

anyway these were my loots to be repacked and gifted out... =)
