Melaka Day 2 & 3 - Jonker Street

pic of what we saw on our drive in and about Melaka

saw 4 digit number on quite a number of building... was speculating if it represented the year the building was built....
built during world war 2???

street art in Melaka too.... reminds me that i have to start thinking of materializing my Penang trip SOON!!!!

plentiful of guest houses along jonker street and that's where i shall stay the next time i am there....

one of the 2 temples near to jonker street... this was closed when we arrived

so we visited the temple which was just opposite

yes... i married someone who 拜拜 one

our plan was to have dinner here!!!! right at the start of Jonker street... mega luv street food.....

Bangkok shopping @ Jonker street.... heee

MUST EAT!!!!! super lots of filling inside the puff that exploded all over my top and bag handle when i bit into it... =S..... correct technique was to eat it in ONE mouth (Mr Ang knew about it but didnt inform me... =S) and let it explode inside the mouth.... wahahahahaha

just thought that it was a nice wall art until i saw jianing posted on her fb that this was actually a mamee snack museum.... shall check it out the next time in melaka....

had the lychee flavour.... novelty cute stuff that was rather tasteless....

the famous super dolled up trishaw of melake

super overrated chedol... =P

we sacrificed 2 hours to accompany Mr Ang to watch his Man U match at one of the bar....

only to be rewarded with a heavy downpour 10 minutes after the game was over... !@#$%^&*(*&^%$#@!@#$%^&*.... there goes my street food dinner and shopping!!!!.... upset to the max.... definitely created a super valid reason to be back again....

Alan recommended 果条仔 ($37rm = $13.30) which was like a slimmer version of our kway chup.... hot hot soup, yummy yummy for cold cold rainy night.....

The next morning....woke up to a flat tire ... this trip was really packed with suayness.... the level of suayness was on par with our tasmania trip.... i think Mr Ang is a suay-ka for road trips.... oopx!!!

but thank god, we had Alan with us to direct us to a garage... else we would be so lost....

the culprit

a super famous popiah stall out of nowhere that had a long queue of customers the day before when we drove past.... so seeing that the queue was short because they had just open for business that morning, Alan went to buy with us waiting in the car....

so traditionally wrapped

really very yummy!!!!

back at Jonker street

MUST try too....

the famous chicken rice ball of melaka which was so so only... i think the chicken rice in Singapore is definitely more fragrant

(S$22.30)

went back to 三叔公 to buy some 土产... and regret not buying more of this.... whoever's going melaka... please get me this....

"When is art art?" ....so reminds me of uncle wan....

my favourite mango with chilli ... =)

bought a 草帽 @ $12rm (S$4.30) for Alvin on his request....

Mega jam at the causeway...what's new??? so Mr Ang and I decided to fill our tummy at Kim Gary($47rm = S$17) @ City Square before joining the queue back to SIngapore once more...

Hungry and Angry Mr Ang

only managed to reached Singapore at 9pm despite leaving melaka at 1+pm.....was feeling rather down for missing the National Day Parade on TV....
