Day 7 of Seoul - Namsangol Hanok Village

From Hapjeong stn, we took Line 2 to Euljiro 3(sam) - ga station (8 stops away) to transfer to line 3.... destination was Chungmuro station (1 more stop away) exit 3... total travelling time was less than half an hour and cost us 1250 won each

chanced upon this restaurant at the station exit and decided it shall be the place for brunch... =D

we were the first customers

zha jiang mian for them

and zha jiang fan for me.... i had craving for rice again... =P

it was so good, i almost licked the plate clean.... wahahahahhaha...

forgot what are these called but i remembered they were good too.... =D

much to our surprise, from a totally empty restaurant, it was packed with a queue forming outside the restaurant by the time we were done with the meal... which was like less than 30 minutes?!?!?!?!?!?

done with brunch and to Namsangol Hanok Village we went
#closeontuesdays #free

this village consists of five restored traditional Korean houses from long long ago belonging to various social classes; the average to the nobles.

what's more interesting was that these houses were originally 'scattered all over korea' .... i wonder if they had uprooted the whole unit and transported the units on trailer trucks or dismantled the houses and assembled them back like lego parts.... hmmmm

a very concerned citizen, my Mr Ang, checking if the windows could be open...answer is 'cannot'.... =P

i realised that my mr ang is always very serious when it comes to making a wish.... let's recap on this photo taken in Tasmania back in dec 2013...=D

bumped into this cute couple in traditional costumes on our way out
