Day 3 of Penang - Toh Soon Coffee & Escape Adventure Park

took these pics on our 2nd morning in Penang..... it is a super old school, road side stall which was highly recommended by Charlene and our driver... so imagine our disappointment when it was closed during our visit... =(

but 皇天不负有心人, it was opened on our second visit on our 3rd morning in Penang...thank god that our airbnb apartment was within walking distance... =)

see.... so old school right???
having ya kun style of breakfast in the back alley

old school nasi lemak with just the basic ingredients... rice + ikan bilis + chilli + 1/2 hard boil egg
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then we took rapid bus 101 from George Town to the Adventure Park... the journey was about an hour and cost us $4 rm each...
we had informed the bus driver that we would be alighting at Adventure Park and he kindly turned into the bus stop and notified us to alight even though no one pressed the bell... thumbs up for good service... =D
woah..... are these deco?!?!?!?!?!
well.... they aren't ..... these are part of the challenging high element course that will take at least an hour to complete.... well.... shall keep this for my next visit.. =D
happiness... =) ..... no queue at the ticket booth when we reached at about 11am... showed our bus tickets to the counter staff and received $4rm discount each on the entrance ticket; original price $83 rm each....
there were really many many things to play.... i think i cleared less than a third in the 4 hours we were there....
Ms Loh was forced to be not grumpy for the day.... wahahahahhaha....
street art within the compound too
High tech lockers at $10rm for unlimited opening and closing throughout the day...
Beware of racing beetles?!?!?!?!
wahahahhahaha..... it was only the mini luge track.... for children only....
the high element course that comes in 3 levels - low, medium and high ....
 we took about 45 minutes to complete one segment of the low element... i luv it lots lots but used up most of my energy for the morning/afternoon liao so decided to walk walk around the compound to check out the other obstacles...
due to safety reason, we were not allowed to bring any camera or handphone with us while we were at the high element course....this pic above was taken by the staff and uploaded onto the theme park's facebook page at the end of that day...
Gecko Tower ...
step 1- hit the button to start the timer
step 2 - have to scale up the tower
step 3 - hit the stop timer button upon reaching the top of the tower
looks fun but Ms Loh wasnt too keen and without a kaki... i also no mood to try it out... so once again.... shall keep this for my next visit.. =D
a safer, much less scary version of bungy jump right-side up... the release of the wire was controlled hence there would not be any sudden tugging or bouncing in the air
din try this too cos i am "a-chua" or "an-ang" and not "a-tan"..... wahahahahaha.... lame max!!!  so once again.... shall keep this for my next visit.. =D
Acrobat station... shall try on the next trip too...
was really interesting to see domestic birds roaming freely within the compound too... =D
after observing it for a good 5 minutes, we concluded that this hen was injured and being concerned citizens (a nicer alternative to being called - kpo), we were ready to notify the staff.... only to have it ran past us shortly after....
rock climbing Tarzan style
spent another 30 minutes at this high element course among the trees and which consisted of 2 super long ziplines..... mega happiness!!!
This man won himself a coconut for climbing up the coconut tree in 3 seconds!!!!
Cafeteria...
 no outside food and drinks allow in the compound... not even water in our water bottle... ms loh had to pour all the water out from hers at the entrance....
no appetite due to the extreme hot weather.... P ... so just ordered the prata set
while ms loh went ahead with her favourite fried stuff
usual practice of buying a magnet everywhere i went... =)
玩不到半天就 super low batt liao.... 没办法只好下次见了...
took the bus back to George Town, passed by Batu Ferringi and told myself that i shall have 2 days stay at Batu Ferringi on my next trip to Penang just so that i can have more time at Escape Adventure Park... =P
Dinner was at a famous duck kway tiao restaurant at Kimberley street again ...
