To Hanoi we go

蔡 mummy and Angela bunked over at home sweet home the night before so that we could all be at the airport at the same time in one cab... not only was this cost saving, it's also bcos waiting for 蔡 mummy to arrive at the airport ON TIME can be quite daunting... =P

we thought that all dangers were covered until angela announced that she had forgotten to bring my penlite camera which she had borrowed for her taiwan trip just before we leave home sweet home for the airport.... =S... hence all pics for this trip were taken with our OPPO phones.... photographer moi and ANGEL

anyway, reached Changi Airport terminal 2 at about 6.15 am, had a quick breakfast @ mac and we were ready for our 8am flight ... paid $336.42/pax for direct flight to Hanoi via Tigerair...
first of many welfies taken by our selfie princess.. =)

Arrived at Noi Bai Airport in 3 hours and 10 minutes...

us waiting for our driver.... read from blogs that cab drivers aren't very honest in Hanoi with or without running on meter so had arranged with the hotel for pick-up service at usd$17 ...

cool double exposure shot by ANGELa

 view along the way...

Mr Ang said these are sunflower.... =S

and in less than 30 minutes, we reached our hotel (slim mini white building)

mini briefing area

where Moon, one of the recep staff, served us our welcome drink of coffee/tea and took the time to brief us on the neighbourhood, Old Quarter, that we were living in; where to find food, where are all the places of attraction etc... very proactive in rendering help ... thumb up... another thumb up for upgrading one of our 'mini' superior rooms to a 'mini' deluxe room... =D

the 'city view' from the window of our room at level 2

though the toilet was a little 'mini', it was clean and functional

thankful for the complementary bottles of water...

mini lift that was comparable to those that Mr Ang and I encountered in Rome back in 2011 during our honeymoony

mini dining area that could squeeze 24 ppl indoor and 12 ppl outdoor but there were never more than 8 ppl at any one time during our 4 days there.... =P
though it was mini mini everywhere, I am not complaining, in fact i rated it a 9.2/10 in my review via as it was a super value for money accommodation... we paid S$45 per room per night, inclusive of all taxes and it even included an a-la-carte buffet breakfast ... =D

My favourite was Pho with chicken which i had for most morning and pancake & banana for the last morning in Hanoi...
