Day 4 in Taiwan - Shin Feng Leisure Farm (新峰农场) & Flying Cow Range (飞牛牧场)

Welcoming us at the farm

mushroom so dried, they became chips..... so yummy, we bought a whole box of it back to share with people we love... =D

a brief intro on the life cycle of a grape plant....

Lucky us!!!! we were told that the farm was closed to visitors the last 3 days due to the 梅雨 as the ground was super soggy and impossible to walk on ...

Demonstration

Then hands-on time for us.... happiness

snip, snip, snip, pose, pose, pose.... had so much fun snipping the grapes off that we ended up with NT$700+ (S$30+) worth of grapes .... gave 2 bunches to 老蔡司机 and still ended up having to eat grapes for the next 3 to 4 nights... wahahahaha...

Flying Cow Range (飞牛牧场)
poor planning on my part as we arrived here way too late at 4pm and missed all the activities...

nothing to do.... paid NT$220 / pax to hike 1km around the farm to look at farm animals.....

Hello!!! 不要子顾着吃, 看看镜头 leh....

very good.... this one was more cooperative.... =D

woo.....spotted my favourite 大耳朵 in the gift shop.... wahahaha

Bambi.....

What scary looking eyes you have?!?!?!?

we were surprised when it suddenly got up from its resting position and followed us as we walked along the fence....

Aha moment when we saw this 'feed box'

a trust system where one pays a NT$10 coin in exchange for a small pack of goat feed....

reminds me of the story;  The 3 Billy Goats Gruff

this free bottle of malt milk was surprisingly good.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
our accommodation for our 4th night was in Hsin Chu @ $190.90/night
- points:
wifi not working.... kettle too dirty/rusty that we resort to buying bottled water...
+ points:
very spacious with 3 bedrooms, all with queen size bed, clean, a 15 minute walk to Hsin Chu City God Temple night market (城隍庙夜市)
where every stall sold identical type of food; fried bee hoon, meat ball soup and this soon kuey look alike meat ball in red sauce....
i dont mind visiting temples but this one is totally not one that i feel comfortable in...
