Meixiang's & Yingkai's Wedding

Another bestie is married!!! A marriage so beautiful and so meaningful, i had tears in my eyes....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wedding prep began with baking cookies as wedding favours... the couple had arranged for the sisters & brothers to bake the cookies together with adult students from Association for Persons with Special Needs @ the APSN Centre located within Kembangan-Chai Chee Community Hub ...
given the time constraint of 2 hours, the baker, together with the students, had prepared the dough in advance.... what we had to do was to weigh the dough into 10g portions and roll them into tiny balls
(caught in a salt bae pose seh...call me dough bae from now... wahahahaha)
the dough balls were then arranged on baking trays following a 8 x 6 matrix
then they were flattened into cookie shape before being sent into the oven
the cooled baked cookies were then lined to be individually packed ... here we have the groom using eye power on us.... =P
the packed cookies were further packed into goody bags of 6 cookies each
tatatata..... the band of brothers and sisters with 200 packs of cookies!!!!
the babes and I also accompanied MX to get her nails ready for the wedding @ The Nail Social, a socially-conscious salon located at Haji Lane that was established with the aim of training and employing local underprivileged women with a higher barrier to employment, so as to help them progress from a position of vulnerability to security and self-sufficiency.
requested for manicure + gel polish @ $57 ...
luving the glitters much much .... Xmas came early for me... heee....
and with 2 more babes who joined us later, we headed to I AM cafe for lunch...
Pre Mab's wedding
We (maybe i a little more than the rest) were pretty excited over Mab's wedding as it was the first time all 5 of us (4 bridesmaids & the bride) were super involved in a wedding.... =D
our 'wedding' history:
(1) Claire's wedding in December 2006
- we went for numerous gown fittings with her and i had lots of fun as it was my first experience being involved in pre-wedding activity... =D
- still remember the sale person in one of the wedding studios being unhappy with us as there wasn't a single gown where all 5 of us would agree on.... "你们这么多人, 是不可能找到一件五个人都喜欢的啦!"... she told us... =P
(2) Michelle's wedding in June 2007
- din get to attend as it coincided with my holiday plan which i had booked before she announced the date...
(3) my wedding in January 2011
- Michelle couldnt attend my wedding as she was in Brunei ... her hubby was posted there on a 2 year contract...
and what made the wedding even more exciting was that:
  • this year marks our 10th friendship anniversary... =D
  • it involved a church wedding celebration
  • it involved an Indian wedding celebration
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

things we did prior to the wedding date:

... recee the church ...

... source for 姐妹s dress ...

... 2 x met up to plan gate-crash and deco @ Claire's place & Michelle's place...

... claire had fun shopping and sourcing for church recep deco items....

... we had fun buying indian costumes....
3 of us at Little India where Claire and Michelle bought their Indian costumes.... Laurice and I had bought ours online at sarees.sg but still tagged along cos it was so near to my work place... =D

... decorated the church ...

the stage for the photo booth

the dinning area
thanks Mr Ang for 爬上趴下ing to put up all the pom poms and fairy light....

... i sponsored the bride's nails using my Nail Palace package...

... michelle 出动 her 全家大小 to prepare the food items for the 酸甜苦辣 segment ...

lots of effort put in the cut the heart shape in the lemon and the bread oh....

... i did the 酸甜苦辣 signage and the Q & A sheet ...

Answer Key:
(1) Claire's place
(2) 2006
(3) Asia Hotel
(4) 1 Kindness
(5) the one that lets her win the game (best answer by Henry)

... Claire did the song board ...

and with all these.... we were ready for Mab's wedding.... =D

Yuan's & Tony's Wedding - Gate Crash

Yuan was my wedding 姐妹 3 years ago and it was my turn at hers a month ago.... luv this vice versa role cos it really means a lot to me.... =*

Yuan's make-up was already done by the time i reached her place at 7am...

her make-up artist was really good... Yuan's make-up was in prefect condition throughout the day and she looked really sweet that day too... 幸福的女人最漂亮... =)

2 busy "students" of the bride rushing to complete the 'homework' of the day... =P

student Candy preparing a PSLE 4-marks word problem for the groom and his 6 "students" who couldn't make head or tail of it at all.... tsk tsk tsk for Mr Lee and a waste of my brain cells to modify the question until  the answer is 37  which is yuan's shoe size...

student Wen writing out the timetable of the day under the supervision of our class moniter, student Pei

a very pretty and happy Ms Aw all ready to be picked up by Mr Lee

yes, you should have noticed by now, by the bride's order, all the 姐妹s  were decked out in AJC uniform with geeky spects.... three of us were wearing our personal spect hence they were not as humongous as those Yuan had prepared for us... =P

上课了!!!and to prevent the teacher and the students from dozing off during class, we provided them with cheerful green acupuncture mats to stand on.... =D... so thoughtful of Pei... heee

Lesson 1: Physical Education

push up component

yoga component

teamwork component - 齐心合力吹出答案

no.37...... correct!!!!

Lesson 2: Food & Nutrition

A healthy breakfast

Yuan's super cute niece whose favourite food is tomato chipped in to  help the boys  ... =D

Lesson 3:  CCA time.... Mr's Lee favourite pastime

Find the missing tile in the ice-bucket ...as inspired by the ice bucket challenge

Lesson 4: 大合唱 for the hokkien song 歡喜就好

their singing was so atrocious that yuan's auntie decided to give them a helping 'voice'

then this unruly bunch of gangsters just pushed through the 姐妹s and crashed into the WRONG room.... wahahahahaha....

but eventually still managed to find the treasure of the day.... =)

胡家二小姐出嫁了

wedding car on the way to Seletar Reservoir for more photo taking

and in Wen's car, our busy class treasurer was counting the coins in our 'class fund'

our 收获还真不错... and yes, our 收获 included the 4D tickets, and no, the number 0609 wasn't among the winning number that night....

was super excited when we saw this drone which the videographer was using

while the photographer was busy with the couple

we were busy taking wefie too.... heee

后面的男生们的表情可真多啊!!!

 祝百年好合, 天天都甜甜蜜蜜

when our powers combine, we have captain planet.... wahahahhaa.... just joking.... merely showing off our loom bracelet which tony's niece had made for all of us... heee
