JOY in April

27th April (Sat)

completed book (책 chaek) #7... no emotion, all narrative, hence couldnt connect despite knowing about her from all the various exhibitions on Singapore history... doesnt satisfied my craving for war stories... was hopping it was more like "First They Killed my Father"... yes, i'm that saddist... =P

@ Hay Dairies to 喂小羊s with my onesies... 小朋友喂得兴奋, 小羊吃得尽兴, 糖老师也喂得很开心...😍😍😍

Happiness is also when Huishan decided to order BBT on this hot hot day... shiok!!! 

但真的老了, 出去玩两个小时, 累成狗了... 2 hours nap in the afternoon and now still yawning away when it's only 8+pm... 😴😴😴

lunch with ex-partner @ Aston to celebrate mid-term; 5 more weeks to holiday!!! and we again coincide with our holiday destination... it was thailand (태국 - tae gok) last june, then vietnam (베트남 - be teu nam) in dec and now it's turkey this june... great mind thinks alike!!! 😂😂😂

we took 30 minutes to complete the above group task : 

full set NDP costume with constrains such as cannot use scissors for the clothing, only white paper for the head gear and only 1 colour paper for the necklace

and my individual task: a headgear using only white paper that embodies my deep connection to Singapore... 

Happy 59th birthday with 5 hearts with 4 skyscrapers

food (음식 - eum sik) was meh but luv (사랑 - sa rang) the sweet pretty (예쁜 - ye ppeun) flora deco and the comfy sofa seat...

Peranakan Beaded Ring Making with Desirae

am one of the lucky 20 people (사람들 - sa ram deul) who managed to sign up for this Beads of Heritage: Unravelling Peranakan Elegance workshop that was held at Rumah Kim Choo during this weekend's Katong - Joo Chiat Heritage Festival

many many Peranakan items available for purchase and oh mine, they are ex (비싼 - bi ssan) seh... but i think i would buy (사다 - sa da) them as gifts (선물 - seon mul) IF i am a tourist in Singapore cos they are really pretty (예쁜 - ye ppeun) and unique...

so happy to see this tray of rings on display too... thinking that we would get to make something like this too... i would love to make the hatching chick design... 😍😍😍

on the second floor on the shop, up this flight of stairs, is our 'classroom (우리교실 - u li gyo sil) where the workshop was held...

And my partner in craft today (오늘 - o neul) is Desirae...

one craft kit each.... i wish they had let us pick our own design and beads in contrasting colours would be much appreciated too... 

took 1.5 hours to sew 125 beads... oh my eyes!!!... i was so thankful that i brought my 老花眼镜 along... really is oh my eyes!!!... the needle was so small, the beads were so small, the grids were so small... everything was all so small (작은 - jak eun)!!!

tear, running stitch, cut, tighten, glue and ta-ta-ta-ta... not super happy with the ring but nonetheless, enjoyed the process and experience... 😍😍😍

thanks for accompanying Auntie Candy on such short notice... and 'thankfully' Auntie Mab isnt feeling well enough to come, else i confirmed kenna left, right, up, down for putting her through this cross-eyed activity... 😂😂😂

JOY in March

31st March (Sun)

given the ugly experience of stuffing myself silly with this brand of gummy last October that resulted in 2 MEGA HUGE acnes, i told Alvin & wifey that they should stop gifting me these heavenly gummies... 

well, they rationed it for me this round... two small (작다 - jak da) packs of which one was supposed to be shared during games(게임 - ge im) night with joyce, cy & ai ling and which of cos didnt happened... 😂😂😂... thanks for the 💖 oh 蔡小宝 & wifey... 

30th March (Sat)

Feasting @ Tenderbest Makcik Tuckshop after 2 rounds of our favourite game (게임 - ge im)... such a big feast of 炸炸s, i walked 5km++ home (집 - jip) to reduce my 罪恶感...  

completed book (책 - chaek) #6... messed up story of a run-away 13 year old who staged her own kidnapped, ended up on the street, returned home after 8 years with a truckload of lies as cover up... flashed back style of writing from different POV on a non-sequential timeline confuses me, especially when the main character goes by several names in that 8 happening years...

need to work on my fiction book selection skill cos the other book that i borrowed from the library doesnt look promising too... 😂😂😂

1.5 rounds of our favourite game @ michelle's before claire's hatchday feast @ PS Cafe (카페 - ka pe), i12 Katong 

followed by a 10 minutes walk through the 'OG' Hari Raya bazaar @ Geylang Serai on a super full tummy just to take in the atmosphere since we were in that area and also because it was long queue everywhere... 😂😂😂

lovely opening stage ... enjoyed this very entertaining musical with much luv for its creative use of props & screens to depict the different settings; school entrance (입구 - ip gu), playground (운동장 - un dong jang) with swings and classroom (교실 - kyo sil)...

i'm indeed living well, loving my family, friends & work (내 가족, 친구와일을 사랑해요 - nae ga jok, chin gu wa il eul sa rang hae yo) much much and laughing oh so often... 😍😍😍

Proud 100th day @ learning korean (한국어 배우기 - han guk eo bae u gi) with the duolingo app... mastered 52 of 58 lessons at Section 1: Rookie...  

S.M.A.R.T goal :

able to read (읽다 - ilk da) menu & signages by my next trip to Korea (한국 - han guk), hopefully in 2025 Term 2 to see cherry blossom ... 🌸🌸🌸

lunch @ 鸭王 and 鱼片米粉 for dinner @ 海脚人... both are super yummy (맛있는 - mat iss neun)... like it much much (좋아요 - joh a yo) 

super satisfying day @ JB... bought a whole haversack of snacks from Lotus's + a dress (드레스 - deu re seu) from Padini + happy with my hair cut, colour, treatment + shiok shiok 1.5 hour massage @ Bangkok Spa

thankful (고맙다 - go map da) to have Qi Yi with me for today's (오늘의 - o neul ui) briefing for my kiddos' adults

had fun making this basket of pipe cleaner flowers (꽃 - kkot) for the adults to present to their kiddos (아이 - a i) after the class's choral reading (독서 - dok seo) performance... 😍😍😍

i think my little girl (제여자아이 - je yeo ja a i) is very cute (귀여운 - gwi yeo un)... 😍😍😍

7th March (Thurs)

got summoned up to level 4 pantry by Ai Rin to collect an 爱心 egg tart to celebrate WEEK 10... WooHoo!!!... and chanced upon another of her encouraging 杰作... 😍😍😍

i took the one that made me burst out laughing... 😂😂😂

6th March (Wed)

happy happy to have a new bag (가방 - ga bang) for school (학교 - hak gyo)... like (좋아요 - joh a yo) its functionality & design and received it at the right time where i was looking for a new haversack since aging spots were spotted in the old one a few weeks back...

random day to receive not 1 but 3 prezzies... thanks Nas, Mr Yap & iCare...

& today (오늘 - o neul) have joyce to do hamster walk walk (걷다 - geot da) with... with friend (친구 - chin gu) will walk more.... heee.... 17k steps achieved!!!

free champagne and magic show while the staff fixed their technical glitch -> Le Petit Chef went on strike!!! 😂😂😂

interesting experience of watching Petit Chef preparing each dish 'comically' and had fun playing peek-a-boo with our dessert... 

Happi early hatchday Claire... glad you enjoyed the experience too, though the food (음식 - eum sik) was meh... 😅😅😅

Angela treated delicious ramen (맛있는 라면 - mat iss neun la myen) for lunch before we headed to NATAS fair @ EXPO...after roaming around and talking to 3 tour representatives, we signed up with ASA for our Turkiye tour this (이 - i) June... 😍😍😍

Happy with the deal we gotten... SQ direct flight + free flight to 三亚 by 2024 + free 4GB international data + 28 inch luggage +  a haversack + a deck of poker cards + a pack of softlan... 😅😅😅
