PAM in Chongqing Day #2 - Art Musuem, Kuixing Pavillion & Rescue Cat Park

while the 2 of them were happily shopping, i was enjoying my 小土豆s miniso mv on loop... 😍😍😍

cold!!! i had 4 layers of top + 2 layers of bottom... i'm so glad i brought along thermal wears and bought this waterproof jacket for this trip...

Chongqing's iconic Kuixing Pavillion where one end of the ground floor plaza is reachable by a short flight of steps while the direct opposite is linked to the 22nd floor of the adjacent building...  

what surprised me was that this historical & touristy building has been repurposed into a hospital since 2021!!! 

a visit to Firefly Habour rescue Cat Theme Park was a must with 2 cat lovers among us... 

meow meow really everywhere even when it was pouring... 

this grouchy kitty came to nap on me while i was waiting for my cup of hot cocoa

then this other one came when we were at the cafe area

a few cat theme gift shops within the compound where the meow 店长s were busy creating more work for the human staff with their catwalking among the displays and dirty footprints from the wet floors... 😂😂😂

one for me and one for mx!!! 

PAM in Chongqing Day #1

PAM goes to Chongqing 

flew by West Air @ $671 each... we only found out that it was a budget airline a few days before departure... 😂😂😂

left Singapore at 4.40am, I slept like a pig and we arrived in Chongqing at 9.35am... 

airport was EMPTY, clearance was FAST

by the time we freshened up, layered on, we were the last 3 to clear custom check... 😅😅😅

the iconic yellow cab of Chongqing but didi was our main mode of transport 

stayed 4 nights @ Nuanyu Riverview Homestay (重庆暖余江景民宿) @ $175 each... they managed multiple units in this building, next to 东和湾 

and our unit was just 2 units next to their 'office'?!?!?!?  on the 20th floor... 

the corridor looked unassuming, our unit was acceptable-ly decorated, 3 rooms, 1 toilet and shower 

great balcony view where the Yangtze and Jialing River meet and where the Glamorous Chongqing Drone Light Show is shown every Saturday night!!! and our first day in Chongqing was a Saturday... 😍😍😍

our first place of visit - Guanyinqiao (观音桥) for street food 

we had 生煎包 (very nice), gyozas (nice), 黄金芙蓉虾 (not nice),  双拼肉卷 (very very nice), 重庆烤串 (nice), 杨梅 mochi dessert (meh)

dinner @ 海底捞 then 东 shop shop, 西 shop shop @ Chongqing's Raffles City

then a quick walk in the rain and cold back to the apartment before 8.30pm to catch the drone show

only to find out that it was cancelled because of the rain... 😭😭😭... 

what a waste!!!
