11th Oct (Fri)

真的好好吃... i dont know what we were enjoying as our chef had quite a strong japanese accent and i i guess even if i heard him accurately, i also wont know what he was telling me as i highly suspect this food palate, chef's special omakase, is leaps & bounds beyond my knowledge...

all cooked, aburi, cos i no eat raw

thanks Claire for gifting me an interesting and once in my life-time experience as this hatchday celebration... 😍😍😍

10th Oct (Thurs)

lunch @ Old Hen Kitchen on a work day... just because we can... 😍😍😍

8th Oct (Tue)

had a yucky morning cos have yucky mails to follow up and other's yucky 烂摊子 that i need to re-do on her behalf... 😡😡😡... u heng u old!!!

跟这群朋友玩就是好好玩 但 伤肝 with their never-ending 酒没有了... 😅😅😅

a happy hatchday to 战战 too...

this hatchday video by his studio this year is so weird... super lonely vibe where he 'celebrates' his hatchday all by himself?!?!?!?

3rd Oct (Thurs)

beaded name bracelets for farrereans as part of Children's Day celebration...

Thank you Monisha, Hena & Winnie, Mrs Selvam, Julia and Evelyn for feeding me 饱饱 this celebrative day... 😍😍😍

1st Oct (Tue)

spent the first day of my favourite month @ kkh, completing step 1 of 3 to my 6 weeks HL next year... not totally a meh since i got to sleep 3 hours more on a supposedly work day and spent less than an hour clearing whatever i needed to clear there...

went for a haircut @ Okinawa followed by a hair-loss treatment @ Two Herbs... so glad i found the solution to my hair-loss which was giving 爱美 爱看起来年轻点儿 的我 so much stress from March to May this year...

spent about an hour in the library finishing up this book that impresses me with the author's commitment & skill to teach her child bit by bit since young and the many hats she wears > she's the main care-giver to her son with Autism + she's the author of 2 books + she organises talks where she shares her experiences locally & overseas + she's a tutor to special needs children + she, together with her son occasionally, sells donuts @ LYTMUZ TEST... 😮😮😮

found another 2 books to borrow home in an attempt to develop a reading habit... 💪💪💪

collected my first hatchday prezzie of the year > free medium honey green tea with pearl from koi...

went hamster walk walk with Joyce and even got mood to complete #1 of Inktober 2024 on BACKPACK...

i love today... 好充实的一天!!! 😍😍😍

#Inktober 2024

it happened again!!! Inktober crossed my mind on this very first day of this yearly challenge and i happened to have the energy & mood & idea to want to give it a go today...

74% completed my first Inktober in 2020 ... had lots of fun yet was stressed at the same time... hopefully can achieve higher number of completion this round...

Gonna to :

  • focus on proportion and perspective
  • train my eyes, hand coordination by doing still-life drawing or drawing based on ref pics of mine if i can locate them within this blog
  • sketch in whichever order i feel like it
  • sketch in pencil then go over with ink into my Work Planner 2024... gonna keep it simple & casual & fuss-free... 😂😂😂

#1 : Backpack  (1/10)

#2 : Discover (6/10)
the best discovery... what would have taken me many many hours of rephrasing only took less than 4 hours today... 😍😍😍

#3 : Boots (7/10)

#7 : Passport (2/10)

#22 : Camp (6/10)

PAM celebrates Children's Day in JB

we upgraded from JB day trip kakis to JB one night stayca kakis to celebrate this Children's day... we took the 5 mins train in and stayed @ this apartment right above KSL that can sleep 10 pax... total of 5 king size beds; 2 in the living room and 3 in the other 2 bedrooms... 👍👍👍

i was 厅长 for the night cos i refused to move from my comfy position after our into the wee morning chits & chats... 😅😅😅

we had such an exciting lift encounter that made me realise that i was in very safe hands with these two ladies. Even without any communication among the three of us; the one learning boxing was ready to punch while the other one learning muay thai was ready to kick the 2 'suspicious' men who entered the lift before us yet had their access-card declined...

i could only gave instruction for us to turn right (the opposite direction to our apartment which was the only one on the left) when the lift door opened... we entered our apartment only after ensuring that the lift had went down with the two men inside... after some thoughts, we concluded that the two men must had been in the wrong lift as each lift only served a few units per level and there are 6 lifts for each block... but still praise us for being very alert albeit overly paranoid... 😂😂😂...

Dinner @ Chef Yew Restaurant, KSL (MYR$216.05 = S$67.18)... food was yummy and definitely worth it given that we had prawn, fish, veg, fried rice and also sharkfin...

Brunch from Nimmies ...

the pastries were pretty and interesting to look at but service was meh... we scanned the qr code to queue for a table... there were 21 in queue before us so we decided to ta-bao the food back to our apartment... the cashier could see us three waiting at this corner below yet when the food was ready and placed next to the cashier counter to be picked up, he didnt bother to call out to us 😓😓😓...

and when we exited the cafe with our food, we saw that there was NO more queue, yet the app didnt alert us at all... else we would have change our mind to dine in instead... 😓😓😓

i stunned many many bit when i saw the bill at MYR196.10 (S$61.30)... too expensive for my liking and the pastries were too hard for my liking too... will not recommend...

the Teos were also in JB for a stayca so we met up for dinner at Restoran Sing so that i could hitch a ride back to woodlands

yummilicious lok lok that we took and took somemore... i think we had 5 big plates of skewers...also had the lala soup that was so good that even those who do not eat lala gave praises for the broth... the crayfish was so so only though...

the main objective for this trip was to check out the furniture shops in JB as the two ladies are newly minted house owners... 👏👏👏... we went to a total of 5 and my eye favourite but pocket least favourite > Big Brain...

sales-person was very professional and patient, not pushy at all... the furniture here is really unique and pretty on their own and also because of their aesthetic display... 😍😍😍

ideal for a movie room... but aircon must be on 24/7 to maintain the softness of the fabric...

2nd favorite > Boo Furniture

each of these wooden bearbrick and kaw is at MYR 2k

all the furniture shops required us to change into bedroom slippers... so 麻烦 given that i was in my sneakers... 😅
