Shower of Blessings in October - my favourite month

31st October (Tue)

the start of daily iron supplement and this appointment @ HGP, that appointment @ KKH... 

nice-y on a day of mild discomfort & 认老 - ing... 😭😭😭

29th October (Sun)

although started to feel discomfort in the afternoon, i still went ahead to meet Angela and her friends for Horror Nights 11 @ USS... 😈😈😈

on the spot Halloween make up... 

we were 25 minutes early at 7.05pm yet we were nowhere near the front stage... we parked ourselves near the screen so that we could still 'watch' the Opening Scaremony... 

conquered 3 out of 5 haunted house, 1 out of 3 scare zones and watched both live performance by 10.10pm before my discomfort 'informed' me that i had enough for the night... bid goodbye to Angela and her friends only to be lured into the 4th haunted house on my own on my way out by the short queue... with Angela's 名言 "They cannot touch you!"... 我已经不怕鬼屋到可以自己一个人进去了!!! 😂😂😂

RWS 的兔兔们s 真的很万能... was dressed for Van Gogh Immersive Exhibition and now dressed for Halloween... 

25th October (Wed)

breakfast from Julia & Evelyn 

然后背着 mx 送的 Junlefont 大包包陪小朋友 VIA 去... 😍😍😍

23rd October (Mon)

an eventful day but i insist on counting my blessings!!!

(1) woke up on the wrong side of the body.... left neck + shoulder ache... blessing to have effective salonpas  @ home sweet home...

(2) upset a colleague with my poor command of English in my remarks... blessing that she didnt stay mad for long, else it would be awkward seh... 

(3) an uncalled for negligence on my part happened... double triple blessing that her adult was so understanding, accepted my apology and in turn comforted me... phew!!! 

(4) in my flustered-ness, i booked a Grab for home when i knew i was heading to National Skin Centre... blessing that driver confirmed destination before driving off... though paid double, i still got to where i was supposed to be at on time to meet up with 蔡妈咪 for her skin biopsy ... 

(5) got off 2 bus stops earlier from my blank then suddenly kanchiong spider mood on the way home from National Skin Centre... blessing was managed to clock steps on a day where i had totally no energy to go for my evening hamster walk... 

shall sleep early tonight to 补补元气 and so that a better tomorrow can come faster... 😂😂😂

Big Day Out to Singapore Flyer with mwh residents followed by volunteering 后的 tea & cake with mx @ Dal Komm... 

21st October (Sat)

hatchday lunch with lene @ The Blue Ginger, Great World City... 又是一顿 好好吃, 好好吃, 好饱, 好饱 的一餐, so full i suggested that we should walk walk around to 消化消化 after the sumptuous meal... 😂😂😂

this is the last instalment of my 42nd hatchday meet-up... really thankful & blessed to be surrounded by so many so many people who love me and willing to gift me their time to 东家长 西家短 over yummy food... 😘😘😘

20th October (Fri)

+1 蔡三宝 because of logistic then -1 amie due to work commitment and it became hatchday dinner with mcs gals & lala @ Shang Pin Hot Pot, Marina Square ... 吃到有点 food coma, 还被笑 that my eyes were only half-opened, just like Garfield's eyes... 😂😂😂

19th October (Thurs)

被 koped 掉 21/22 盒, 被送 another 五盒s... 😍😍😍

everyone was telling me "HIDE IT"... 

it's so funny that my adult life still consists of hiding food away from people seh... same same but different from yesteryears... it used to be locking tidbits away from the 3As... my 蔡妈咪 had fixed a lock in one of the kitchen cabinets to house the tidbits that could keep me awake & alert in the many many late nights of 临时抱佛脚-ing during the O and A level exams period... 😂😂😂

protecting the box of luv with my life and smuggling it home the next day... 😅😅😅

13th October (Friday)

a day of much luv.... choc from jeo, snack from huifang, prezzie from charis

egg tart from Jackie and snack from JX... 

who just came back from winning a (team) bronze in contract bridge @ Asian Games in Hangzhou... so smart & so cool seh !!! 

our kiddos set up a photo booth to capture pics for our class's graduation video... filter approved on a day where we went to work barefaced... 😂😂😂

12th October (Thurs)

back to wearing a mask.... not due to the haze but cos i wanna hide the 2 'hills' on my face... 😭😭😭... i wonder if these two 😡😡 是被； 

（1） the act of 吃掉-ing my 21/22 粒s Ritter Sport Yoghurt Choco Cubes 闷出来的... 因为想了一个星期多, 问了很多人s, 还是没想通为什么会有这么 buay paiseh 的人呢???... 不管多好吃, 不管多喜欢, 也不能吃到我只吃到 1/22 粒 of 我的 prezzie 吧? 

（2） 还是是因为 ES's 的 mega luv luv leh??? ES bought me a huge 'cup' of super yummilicious & expensive gummies from Bears & Friends which i mega luv luv and couldnt stop eating till it got too jerlat day after day... 

HORROR oh HORROR to find out ;

ES, next time you buy, then put @ wlds k? i go eat once a week can le... 😍😍😍

"Thank You Ai Rin. We luv U !" a shout-out from my happy tummy, happy feet & my grateful heart ... 😍😍😍

today was also a happy tummy day... after numerous failed attempts to locate a my faourite version of fried lok lok eatery in Singapore that's open in the afternoon since last last year, we finally found one today !!! 

look at the variety & the crispiness !!!

julia bought me a sausage bun for breakfast before our double shift @ the beads bracelet station this children's day celebration...

dinner with the 探鱼 gang (it's our 4th visit in a year!!!) before baby chia #4 arrives in 2 weeks' time.... 💪💪💪 XY 💗💗💗

so full was i that i didnt even have the tummy space for my favourite venchi pistachio ice cream.... 😅😅😅

Happy 32nd hatchday 战战 !!! 

such a coincidence to have dinner in Somerset today, to walk over to Paragon for Venchi today, to walk past TOD's and got to see my 小老公's poster today... a sign that i should get that bag he's holding or the one i was eyeing since last year right?!?!?!?! 😍😍😍

Work Planner 2024 - Jan to May Monthly Spread

Using a book planner is a habit that i picked up since i was 15 to keep track of work to be done & deadlines... it was even identified as an item that has the greatest impact on me in a blog challenge i did 12 years ago...

ex-big boss gifted us at least 3 notebooks in the last few years so i used one of them as my work planner this year...

also in this work planner are this & that & these & those about work... and this art scheme of work is one that i refer to the most... 

as can seen... a work planner is really just a work planner for me... record work info & work deadlines... period!!!... so boring, so un-artsy for an art cher seh!!! 😒😒😒

chanced upon this video from my favourite art cher and decided to include something similar into my next work planner... i really should be doing a little more artsy sketch &/or doodling given my profession...😅😅😅

one video led to another video, one idea led to another idea... 心痒痒 + 手痒痒 so made good use of these 3 marking days to beautify this notebook that i received as cher's day prezzie this year into Work Planner 2024... 

was surprised to learn that there's something super duper big about using a planner called Bullet Journaling aka Bujo developed by Ryder Carroll in 2013... According to him, bullet journaling method is an analog system to track the past, organize the present & plan for the future. It has its own suggested structure, a book and even an online course on it. 

way too structured + too tedious for me... but i'm super thankful to the gazillion creative individuals who created and shared elaborated versions of their bullet journals online and who inspired me to create my own version of work planner with a fun fun activity to keep me entertained every month... 😍😍😍

activity of the month is to design 一个 tattoo that represents 蔡家... it is something that i have been thinking of getting for the last 1 or 2 years 了... i like line tattoo, i like minimalist tattoo, our family chat group name is 🐭🐔🐴🐶🐷 based on our zodiac, 一线 (one line) animal drawing is in my P1 art curriculum... want to combine all these elements together and hopefully doodle out a design that will become permanent on me in 2024... 😍😍😍

three's a crowd... three sounds like tree so i googled 'tree bullet journal idea' and a tree theme mood tracker caught my attention... inspired by it and modified it into a healthy habit tracker that tracks my daily steps and veg consumptions in March... 

clocking steps has became a permanent lifestyle change since Oct 2021 based on the 21/90 rule that states that it takes 21 days to make a habit and 90 days for it to become a permanent lifestyle change... hopefully this veg consumption tracker can encourage and motivate me to eat more veg daily... my body needs the iron in spinach, broccoli & string beans!!! 😂😂😂

May captured painful memories in 2018 and in 2023... thankfully, it's also a month of many happy memories & celebrations; mother's day & hatchdays of angela, snowy, mx, michelle, julia & cherandy...  

yet to decide what portrait style would i have of them though... totally 不信任 my human drawing skill... 😰😰😰... worse comes to worst, take pic, print pic, paste pic... wahahaha... 

That's all for now... decorating Work Planner 2024 is gonna keep me very engaged & entertained for the next few weeks... 😍😍😍
