woke up by these 2 jumpy bunnies asking to be carried up the bed...
so happy so happy to be able to sleep in... no alarm... 自然醒... shiok... officially woke up by 2pm to get ready to welcome the ladies..
today's dinner was at my favourite Tie Fun Wan @ Kovan...
Laurice & Joyce tried the lobster bowls, mab had braised pork with mee tai mak and i had the terriyaki chicken rice bowl... their crispy chicken skin was so good we ta-bao 2 packs as snack for our round 2... =D
circuit breaker turned laurice into an avid online shopper and we benefited from it.... 2 masks for each of us.... gomawo... =*

took a 2 hour nap nap and an amazing idea just popped into my head... invite a local illustrator to share his/her work, motivation, dream during aesthetics assembly talk, our pupils to ask the illustrator questions instead of the usual Q & A, then hold a picture book competition where the illustrator is one of the judges... =D
remembered that i have some items in my zalora cart so login to see if i still like them... happiness to see that zalora having 40% + 5% discount... hurry empty my cart then re-shop...

coincided with CY's route & timing to ST in AMK so had lunch together at the 4 million Kay Lee Roast Meat stall and had a free ride home... double woohoo!!
nap nap + did laundry + compiled art module for P4 Responsibility's GIF lesson and P2 modelling clay kampung house lesson in SLS .... what an efficient evening i had... triple woohoo!!!... =D

favourite chicken rice for breakfast at 9+am
spent my free period decorating my school organisor with stickers... =)
pretty pretty pretty... encourage me to write more neatly too else i will just scribble.... =P
rewarded myself for the neck-breaking duty with everything i luv from Mac... =)
what made this meal even yummier was that it was paid with vouchers from Happydot... heee
2 rounds on my 小红椅 relieved much of the shoulder and neck ache too.. =)
my hair has been lumpy and oily since Sunday although i washed them every day... i attributed it to the probable inferior hair dye that i did last week... then i found out i had been washing my hair with conditioner for the last few days... =S
had replaced my shampoo with conditioner... they look so similar lo then the word print so small... angry!!!
and just because i had bought the conditioner, i have to add it in to my hair care routine which previously only consist of shampoo... =S

had pontian wanton mee with bubble tea for brunch before going home for a good 2 hours + nap nap...
heated up the rice and 咸菜鸭汤 from last night and pampered myself with 3 kinds of 小菜s just because the dish 'said' so... heee

walked approx 5km then it was breakfast time to load back the calories burnt ... wahahaha

maybe i over-exercised... maybe the weather was too hot for me... body just didnt feel optimal enough to make the trip back to woodlands... so angela delivered her love over to hougang instead.... awwww

met up with yuan for lunch @ Canopy Garden dining ... glad to be placed indoor but would love it even more if we got to sit right by the full height windows... =D

heavy downpour on the way home ... had wanted to wait it out under the flat at the traffic light cos i really hate to get my feet in shoes wet but a super kind lady offered to share her umbrella with me and it would be impolite of me to say no...
long story short : i was half drenched cos her umbrella was pretty tiny and i had to walk a further distance as she was heading to the bus stop instead of the block right opposite the traffic light.... 但遇到好心人还是一件开心的事...
took a bath, took a nap and spent my night with the pups, netflix and my new hobby...

although home sweet home is under the care and maintenance of 洪妈妈, it has been almost 5 months since i last saw her...

did 15 minutes of silent reading on my favourite book ... bought it in 2012 and had read it at least twice... it's based on a true story of a mum's wishes that her husband and her two sons will do/ continue with when she passed on....
reading this book always reminds me of what's important in my life... spending quality time with those i love and to create happy memories together whenever possible... there are people who arent given a chance / choice to do so yet there are also many who chose not to do it when it's possible and then have to live with regrets when it's all too late...
surprised to see that there's a movie on it... but not available on youtube leh... =S

super tiring day @ MX's.... we wrote and decorated 400 thank you cards!!! ... the pain in my fingers was no joke... reminded me of JC time when we had to write 4 econ essays, each at least 3 pages long, in 3 hours.... =S
used the cute hello kitty brush pen that Ai Rin gave me for most of the writing this round.... =)
super pretty retro Polaroid film stickers to our rescue when we ran out of stickers....
we were so focused that we forgot to eat the strawberries that we bought before we got started on our 400 cards... so i bought a box home to share them with the pups... =D

we were rejected by The White Rabbit, Culina Market & Como because they were fully booked by the time we reached Dempsey @ 11.30am...
eventually settled @ PS Cafe Harding road with the NIE ladies for lunch... thanks Claire for the treat... =*yummy yummy so super full that i had another food coma induced nap this afternoon ...

started the first day of this unique once in my teaching life time one week school hol in July RIGHT with a brunch @ Coastal Settlement

shared a pot of chamomile tea and got starred at when i told him that this place is well-known for its coffee... wahahaha...
all day breakfast for him and portobello mushroom burger for me...
thick succulent mushroom slices with cheese in my burger... super yummy.....
collected this year's National Day goody bag on the way home cos no queue at all... =)
what a unique and suitable collection of goodies for this Pandemic Year... =P
took a food coma induced afternoon nap then headed out to meet angela @ Bugis Cube for hair stuff...
after dark brown dye, treatment and trim later...

i luv luv angela's ash green hair.... i really like interesting colour hair.... if not for my job, i think my hair will be in all sorts of colours too....

and the main reason why i was at PS was to change the battery for my Swatch watch... it had stopped by Wednesday morning when i woke up but i still had to put it on for yesterday and today for school... wahahahaha.... made me realised how risky it is for me to have only ONE watch for school.... =P
tried a few watches and was happy to find this Swatch watch that fits my criteria and budget ($145)... =D
Angela 被我骗到 PS.... we were supposed to go do hair treatment and / or dye in Bugis ... but by the time i called the salon to make an appointment, no more slot liao and she was already in dhoby ghaut.... oopx...
so she accompanied me on my third daiso shopping within the last 12 days and 我还是有东西买!!! .... =S
the "We Love Daiso" facebook page is really 害人不浅... everyday have so many so many daiso-ians post their daiso 战利品s and share how they can use the items that i'm convinced by them too... =S
tea, coffee & souffle @ Hosino to compensate Angela for her wasted trip down to meet me... =D
encouraged by Zhuan's and her daughter's kindness act, i also prepared 'tea set' for the estate cleaners whom i spotted working hard even at 6+pm when i pushed my kitchen window opened upon reaching home ... =D

a chinese name that caught my attention...
this was my top choice of kiddo's name if i had one... 感 (恩) 快 (乐)... ambitious me was already thinking of a name for our 洪宝宝 in our first year of marriage...i wanted to have a child who is appreciative and happy @ all times...
i remembered we had such a great laugh then when we decided that we shall name our boy 洪炸弹 💣 and our girl 洪苹果 🍎 ... thankfully, both didnt have the fate to materialise...
it's a love-note day today.... 💟
just in time to remind me to remind my kiddos that all i want for teacher's day is hand-drawn &/or hand-written love notes... please please please dont buy me anything... i do appreciate the love from the kiddos and their parents so it does make me feel guilty of donating or re-gifting most of the items received every year .... but i really have to, i cant stand keeping things (even hidden in cupboards) that i dont use ....
chunyang came to send me home from work as he was nearby... it was like back to jiemin days... =D

Happy Racial Harmony Day...
changed into this costume just for the morning program and was back in my t-shirt & jeans (dress down June & July) in less than 2 hours... =P
met up with mx for lunch after school @ Hai Di Lao, PS... no queue @ 2.15pm.... woohoo!!!
was put off by the long waiting hours previously so despite its popularity, this was my first steamboat session @ Hai Di Lao... =P
service was really above any other restaurants i have been to... wireless charging port available on the table, gave ziplock bags to keep our masks, asked if mx needed hair tie and sleeve tie to keep her long hair and sleeves in place...
price is on the high side... cost us $93 ... my favourite was the brown sugar fried rice cake (not in pic... =S) and the spicy sauce which made everything super yummy.... wahahaha
shopping therapy @ Daiso... in the process of beautifying home sweet home and replacing all the heavy & ugly ikea bowls & plates with lighter ones...
came home to these goodies waiting for me.... 谢谢洪妈妈
took a 1 hr+ nap nap... life is good... =)

flew off the bed to bark at whoever was at our door this morning... then came back with this pitiful face to ask to be carried up the bed again... how to say no to this face???...

11 years ago - you thought you were mature and responsible enough to shoulder an adult relationship and took the plunge... i'm utterly disappointed in you...
maybe because it's this day... maybe it's because i didn't take medication for 2 days... my thoughts are dark & unhealthy till i had a terrible headache... sane enough to not want to end up in jail or in the coffin... so back to medication + 2 panadol tablets to ease the headache... i think i fell asleep before 8pm...

gave the 3rd generation of mask a chance for the short trip out to fulfill my citizen's duty... happy to find the mask so much more breathable in than the 1st generation of mask.... Yeah!!!

happy to be asked to leave school on the dot as the compound will be 'handed over' to the polling team for set up from 2pm onwards...
took a fabulous nap only to wake up @ 6.15pm to see that lene had texted me to meet her at kovan by 6pm to have dinner together @ tie fun wan.... she had made a wasted trip up to kovan and waited for me in vain... argh!!! (so so so sorry) and i had wasted the chance to try out tie fun wan's lobster menu... double argh!!!
but i still want a good dinner to celebrate the long weekend... =)
way too much for my 'small' tummy tum tum so kept the chicken wings for tmr.. =)
i seemed to be much better, much in control of my emotion and so tried a night without my medication...

spent all my free periods today cutting 65 bundles of 5 strands of wool each for the P3 net making lesson this week...
chunyang came to pick me up on the dot at dismissal to go buy sofa for 蔡家 with me... the old one is 7 years old and is sinking in and angela suspects that it could be one of the causes for mummy's leg spasm... =S
this eventually caught my eye cos it's firm, the narrow width allows 蔡 mummy to lean against the back fully while watching netflix and the extreme right and left seats are recline-able for those who want to 翘脚... =D
finally went to collect the 3rd generation of mask...
before meeting Vivian & Xinying @ Tie Fun Wan Kovan...
though i was still super full from the heavy lunch earlier on, i couldnt resist the yummilicious fried chicken skin... super addictive lo...
the fries with chilli crab sauce that vivian ordered was delicious too...
bought vacuum packed fried chicken skin for huishan , 说巧不巧, she was just talking about it yesterday...

received my 100 packs of cookies delivery from metta cafe
managed to squeeze in a one hour nap (woohoo!!!) before visiting mummy at YCH... happy to see that her weaker leg is much straighter... happy to see her happily giving out the cookies to the nurses... happy to see her enjoying the grapes that i brought and happy to share my nasi lemak 料 with her... =D
