National Day Parade 2016

woke up with a mild sore throat and the onset of flu came shortly after but these did not stop me from heading out after a nap, a lozenge and plentiful of water....

so what was the magical force that had stopped me from cancelling the plan of the day leh?!?!?!?!?!

... tatatata ....

yup yup..... lucky me was invited by lene
to join her and her family & friend at this year's Nation Day Parade after her lucky niece, Naomi, won 6 tickets through balloting....

though the fun bag was rather pretty, i was more interested in these 2 plastic bags...

tattooing for the sake of tattooing....

i want my tattoo bracelet!!!! =S

super happy to see this.... smooth the throat enough for all the shouting during the parade... =D

dancers in candy colour ..... i like....

the kallang wave that went on and on....

round is a shape... =D

love the movement of the poles

poof poof poof!!!

where dreams come true for all.... simply magical!!!

beautiful city in the sky

artwork on dresses and sing signing 'Count on me Singapore'... totally got feel... =)

confetti.... lots & lots of them.... mad luv!!!

this parade is by far the best that i have attended.... i was going "wow...wow...wow" at almost every segment.... there were so many surprises... Great job to the creative director, Beatrice Chia...this is one parade that i had watched it live and yet still want to watch it on TV...

all was great until time to go home!!!
walked all the way to kallang mrt but was glad that the crowd was orderly.... =)

Random bits of Penang

Back in the Canteen for the live band and to escape from the sun...

super yummy sweet potato fries....

jack-fruit with yogurt

a surprise find.... a spectacle shop at the end of the cafe that sells very unique woody frames and shades....

Day 3 of Penang - Ghost Museum

Last attraction on this trip ... one of the more expensive museum at $36rm each...

some of the rooms, Japanese room with Sadako and Malay hut with Pontianak, were so eerie and scary that I just zoomed through without even looking more than 10 degree off my vertical vision....

but there were also some rooms where we had fun with the costumes and props... =D

caught self-ing with Mr Skeleton

our favourite room - Western Vampire Room....

instead of coffee, tea or me.....
it's left hand, right hand or me?!?!?!?!

a real functioning toilet which we didnt dare to use....
