Happiness #2:

Happiness #3:

it's a 花痴 day where i put on the 花花 earrings from xy and wore the 花花 necklace that i bought via shopee to go see the big red 花花s by local artist, Pei Li (Pei-Per Flower) @ Changi Chapel & Museum...

how Changi got its name

the robot docent !!! it was loud enough for everyone in the same gallery to hear him clearly...

close to 90k POW aka interns were held here...

googled and was surprised to find out that the meaning of the word "intern" is "confine as a prisoner, especially for military or political reasons".... then why we use this word for attachment seh?!?!?!?!

belonged to a POW - why the strap is attached terbalik ah?

soldiers from the Australia Battalion signed on this uniform belonging to a POW before the war. Out of the 30 signatures identified, 22 survived the war.

a notebook belonging to a POW detailing the days leading up to the Fall of Singapore... very nice handwriting hor?

announcing the fall of Singapore that came too quick and caught many, including the soldiers, by surprise.

An original Changi prison cell door of a single-occupant cell but yet up to 16 POWs had to squeeze into each cell during the war.

the muster gong used to conduct regular roll call for the counting of the internees

a section of the wall which remains as a constant and vivid memory of the POWs' captivity

did they cut up the wall there then reassembled it here???

one of the 3 quilts sent to wounded soldiers @ Changi Military Hospital... made by military wives prisoners who sewed 'something about themselves' into the squares they embroidered... indirectly informing the husbands that they were alive...

line sketches by a POW, one that was lucky enough to be supplied with pencils and paper by a Japanese guard who had a keen interest in art

communication with the outside world was extremely sporadic and in the form of a 24 words limit postcard... so this may be where twitter got its inspiration from seh!!!

enjoyed a good good 1.5 hours in the museum
