15th March (Fri)
decked in Yuan's favourite pink colour, we went on a 8+ km hike @ MacRitchie Reservoir as Yuan's hatchday celebration activity this year...
sad to see the monkeys feeding off food (음식 - eum sik) & drink (음료 - eum ryu) packaging that i assumed were discarded carelessly or salvaged from the trash (쓰레기 - sseu re gi)...
finally reached the entrance (입구 - ib gu) of the treetop walk after about an hour of ups & downs... good news: we conquered half the hike.... bad news: we still have another half of the hike to conquer...😅😅😅
Our first exploration to the treetop walk was shortly after it was officially launched in 2004. 5 of us; Cy, Sm, Yuan, Ant & me had agreed to check out Singapore first free-standing suspension bridge upon being told, most likely by Cy, that it would only be a 45 minutes hike!!! Cy & SM turned up in flip flops... horror oh horror... it turned out to be a 11+km hike over 3+ hours... 😰😰😰
dug through my toyogo box to find the photo album that the RSS clique had put together for my 24th hatchday and found the only photograph i had of this memorable day...
40% smaller but same group of friends (친구 - chin gu), same colour top & same habit of having my sunglasses with me for day time walks...

We made many more treetop hikes since then and Yuan found this pic that we took in 2013...
and here we were, trying very hard to replicate it...

now as i upload the pics then realised;
cannot > angle 不对... we should have leaned against one side of the railing and not stand across the bridge... and this is the boardwalk bridge, not the suspension bridge... 😂😂😂
am impressed with these two little ones... yes (네 - ne), complained a little (조금 - jo geum) and declared their regrets of coming along but completed the 2+ hours hike without much hassle & clinginess... 👍👍👍

coordinated with Tony to surprise Yuan @ Simply Retro with a " Oi, 这么巧啊。你们也来这里吃 dinner 听歌啊?!?!?! " 😂😂😂
Food (음식 - eum sik) is really delicious (맛있다 - mat iss da)... my prawn aglio olio was good, Cy's & Tony's sirlion steak was good, the black garlic roast pork was good...
then came the drinks (음료 - eum ryo)... Simply Retro serves 4 types of shots!!! Thanks to Tony's 口头禅 "没有酒了"... We had 4 types of shots!!! 😅😅😅
The 4th type of shots was Melon Drop... but we were too high by then to take pics &/or video of the drinks le... 😅😅😅
shots 喝完了 就变成了 loser of 5-10 had to drink 半杯半杯 的啤酒 (맥주 - maek ju)...

朦朦的... 好多年没喝这么多了... 耳朵烧烧, 头皮痒痒, 脸红红... and so high was i that the meanie in me wanted to leave laughing emojis @ someone's past posts but the nicey in me told me to just 放眼看...
so being one who always look on the better side of situations... thank you (감사합니다 - gam sa hap ni da) for snatching away the dirty trash (더러운 쓰레기 - deo reo un sseu re gi) from my life... 😂😂😂

I am wondering how you live with the jerk that is self-centered and narcissist plus emotional unavailable previously.
He can be hot one day and cold for the rest of the week. he likes to gave people the roller coaster ride in emotional.
You had him at his bad time. And if he's not in his jerk mode, he would make a little third whale feel like it's love while he was still in a marriage meh??? hahahahaha... But i have to say, before the age of 30, he was a blessing to be with in our 9 years together. He was super chatty every day, listens and would entertain most of my nonsense and my whimpers. Just sad and disappointed that he changed.
No time is good time for him when he himself is a narcissist, selfish and self-centered. then would play the victim part and everything is about other people's fault for not understanding him.
At first he was the good sweet guy but he can changed 360 degree immediately. He still super chatty and entertaining people but when things get rough or he couldn't face it, he will just ran away instead of facing it.
I do not know how many girls has fallen into his trap until now then! I was disappointed that he was such a guy! never thought of it.
I am just glad that you are so over him and your life is so peaceful and happy without him. :)
My life was once peaceful and happy with him too until he got involved with a little third whale. And this beach, together with him, had the audacity to find fault with me for humiliating him and now doing the exact same thing in my cyberspace. A slap in your face. You deserve it. Thanks for making my day by giving me this opportunity to laugh at both of you. Your situation brings much entertainment. Continue to have a long life.
