搭 claire's 顺风车 to the airport at midnight for our flight at 2am... terrible flight timing via Scoot @ S$318.13... flight was supposed to be at 6am but got moved forward by 4 hours to such unearthly hours and a change in boarding gate last minute-ly had 6 of us doing a 400m dash across the terminal at 1.20am... 😓😓😓
Trio A vs Trio B... thankful for Michelle who got us together seats & priority boarding... 😍😍😍
could hardly sleep through 3 hours and 10 minutes of 2 babies' / toddlers' onboard crying competition and we arrived at Hong Kong at sunrise... 😭😭😭
thankful for claire and her hub for arranging our pick up and drive around till check in time @ 3pm...
had our first meal at this sixties cha chan teng on the first level of a kindergarten building in the neighbourhood near the airport
reasonably priced at S$33 for 6 of us...
interesting air-conditioned wet market where we had an eye-opener at the live chicken and the super neat arrangement of veg for sale...
our room sweet home was Family 6 Luxury Room @ Nathan Hotel on Nathan Road... paid $278 each for 3 nights
the 老花 in one of us had us trying to break open the door of room 503 instead of our 502... 😂😂😂
the room was way above my expectation... it was clean and spacious enough for movements within the room + 6 of us each have a corner to store and pack our barang barangs + it has sockets right next to all our beds + the beds were sturdy yet comfy enough that i didnt feel my sleep buddy turning nor tossing during sleeps + blankets were thick enough to keep me cozily warm and most importantly, the toilet, shower and 2 basins were all stand-alone... 👍👍👍
i have to admit that as much as i luv having every one in 1 room to chit & chat every day on our hols, i panicked a little prior to the trip knowing that 6 ladies had to share 1 toilet... thankfully we are all fast get-ready peeps and a bonus where 3 of us are on the dark side... 😂😂😂
then we also have sweet Lee Ching for this shoe arrangement above and smart Michelle for the idea to personalise our bedroom slippers... 😍😍😍
matched with our sleeping buddy + marked our own corner + nua nua abit then out we went again...
5 minutes walk to the nearest train station that has signs very similar to ours... bought an octopus travel card which we found out on day 3 that it wasnt necessary as we could actually use our contactless Mastercards on Hong Kong's transport system...
saw 战战... 😍😍😍
we were too early for dinner so had liang teh neaby just so we had a place to rest our tired feet... heee
yummilicious hotpot dinner @ 楼下火锅 on a cold cold day... really had to walk down a flight of stairs to go 楼下 into this eatery that's decorated in Hong Kong's 70s vibes
queen-bed buddy + I'm Cynthia's Chloe on this trip...
had fun mixing my own dipping sauce from the huge variety
the chicken soup base was so good that we finished the whole pot even before any ingredient was served... 😅😅😅
michelle's favourite which i coined 'looking like a halloween dish"... 😂😂😂
our most expensive meal on this trip @ S$54 each but definitely worth it... 👍👍👍
passed by this on the way back... very tempted to give it a try just to experience in life what my generation watched in HK dramas... 😂😂😂
same same?!?!... They 'worked' at a magazine stand too... 😂😂😂
a stayca in JB to "celebrate" Jas' new passport... 😂😂😂... new excuse to justify my love for massage, manicure and 吃吃喝喝 with friends in JB.... heee
Xiao Ping was in-charge of food and she recommended a whole (new) list of eateries to me... 😍😍😍... first stop : breakfast @ Pin Ming Xuan (品茗轩)
waited 40 minutes +/- but it didnt felt that long with our constant chits and chats and Xiao Ping impressed us with her fluent Melayu as she conversed with the staff over our seating arrangement... 😲😲😲
All was super yummy except for the carrot cake which tasted way too fried eggy for my liking... the 马来糕 was my favourite cos it was super bo-ing bo-ing bo-ing soft and fluffy!!!... luv this drink too...
paid S$32 for this meal and received a 30ringgit return voucher and a free 酥饼 redemption from 酥小仙, a pastry shop across the road...
had some hours to spare before we could check in so spent it on Red One... i enjoyed the show leh... found it quite funny and it gave me warm fuzzy xmas feel but the other two dozed off seh... 😅😅😅
Our apateu sweet apateu for the night @ S$76.60
clean apartment, comfy beds, fun swing chair, more than enough toilet paper but the base of the bathtub do need some solidification...
chill chill nua nua abit then we went for manicure... my favourite nail shop, Nobelle Nail House @ Holiday Plaza was closed for company retreat so we made do with I Elegance @ KSL because of the many great reviews we read online... well, really cannot trust online reviews seh!!!
very thorough cleaning, neat application of nail polish, need to improve in their nail art drawing and listening to customer's instruction though and it was at double the price @ S$63 with this add on and that add on... 😓😓😓
8 arcade games @ this year's annual carnival for the residents to play play play and super duper cute emoji keychains fore redemption after their play play play too...
SL & Jackie made these bracelets for the residents... effort seh!!!
morning shift volunteers calling it a job well done with mandatary group pics before enjoying a thank you lunch sponsored by mx...
we kick started the 2nd shift with a magic show by Mr Bottle and Superman, Spiderman & Elsa popped in for an hour of pic taking with the residents...
but what excites me the most was that mx also invited guest singers, Siang Ping and Xinyi, who are our jc schoolmates... 25 years since our graduation and our last reunion was 5 years ago at the Class of 99 Reunion back @ CJC
四连拍 for this foursome of 40s doing good together while still looking good too... 😍😍😍
2nd shift group pic then 就下班咯 !!! hitched a ride from SP to cwp for a well deserved dinner @ Wang Lu Hotpot
好累 好累 好累... volunteering also have OT seh!?!?!?! 😂😂😂
