what a shock i had when i stepped into the studio and realised that it was still life painting lesson... =S
am thankful for these super bright light bulbs which created super obvious highlights
subject for the day.... we need only paint 3 items... =) |
teacher's demo
grounding with "any-oh-how"colours
sketching with 'any-oh-how' strokes
'any-oh-how' colour blocking
it's amazing how talented people can just create super pretty pieces effortlessly and any-oh-howlly la
i was like stressed to the brim at every step.... even the mixing of colours.... =S
view from my angle |
sketching seems easier though - thanks to miss seck's class... =) |
now then i realised that my painting is super illogical la....
i din draw the blue flask yet i drew its reflection on the silverish blue flask.... wahahahahaha..... wonder if i can add it in in the next lesson... =S

Lesson 7: continuation from lesson 6
A 5 hours lesson to paint the next layer and the next layer and i think another layer.... =S
Yeah!!!! managed to cover up my phantom flask... =)
final work after spending at least 7 hours on it over 2 lessons..... realised that i am super ADHD.... i cant stay focus on doing art for such long hours in one stretch.... i gave up trying to see the 'light' and just randomly painted streaks down my silverish blue metal flask.... and i just have to blend everything together when in fact, i wasnt supposed to so as to show the 'light'... ;P
classmates' work for reference and comparison...
incomplete flask at the corner but who cares when the other two are so damn real-looking lo.... =)
can feel the pain in the eye starring at the orange light that's 'reflected' off the flask right????
David's work

luv the glow of the bottle
