Meixiang's & Yingkai's Wedding

Another bestie is married!!! A marriage so beautiful and so meaningful, i had tears in my eyes....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wedding prep began with baking cookies as wedding favours... the couple had arranged for the sisters & brothers to bake the cookies together with adult students from Association for Persons with Special Needs @ the APSN Centre located within Kembangan-Chai Chee Community Hub ...
given the time constraint of 2 hours, the baker, together with the students, had prepared the dough in advance.... what we had to do was to weigh the dough into 10g portions and roll them into tiny balls
(caught in a salt bae pose seh...call me dough bae from now... wahahahaha)
the dough balls were then arranged on baking trays following a 8 x 6 matrix
then they were flattened into cookie shape before being sent into the oven
the cooled baked cookies were then lined to be individually packed ... here we have the groom using eye power on us.... =P
the packed cookies were further packed into goody bags of 6 cookies each
tatatata..... the band of brothers and sisters with 200 packs of cookies!!!!
the babes and I also accompanied MX to get her nails ready for the wedding @ The Nail Social, a socially-conscious salon located at Haji Lane that was established with the aim of training and employing local underprivileged women with a higher barrier to employment, so as to help them progress from a position of vulnerability to security and self-sufficiency.
requested for manicure + gel polish @ $57 ...
luving the glitters much much .... Xmas came early for me... heee....
and with 2 more babes who joined us later, we headed to I AM cafe for lunch...
Hatchday 26 + 10 @ Opus with the SmartLab gang
gatecrashed uncle yc & his 2 'girlfriends' gathering @ Opus, Hilton Hotel on 19 October just so to claim my hatchday meal from Joyce... wahahahaha
Joyce and I shared a chicken which was average only ... totally not worth the price of $48++... =P
on the other hand, this steak for 2 that came with free flow wine; sparkling, white & red was super worth it at $120++
very good review on the wine from the 3 酒鬼s
while i was more into their pretty pretty dessert .. the mango yogurt that looked like a popsicle was yummmzzz....
uncle commented that this hazelnut dessert below had 'poop' on it.... (-.-!!!)
from Adele, "The best thing that came out from working at SL was the friendship forged"... totally agree... =)
Key chain workshop @ BE : LeatherLab with the Artzy Buzzers
Fid and I were invited to a free key chain workshop by the lady boss of BE: LeatherLab ... =D
from a home studio which Lene and I handcrafted our leather card holder last September to a studio studio on the 6th storey of Gemini @ Sims, walking distance from Aljunied Mrt station within a year plus of business... business must be GREAT!!! Congrats on your expansion and best wishes for your ever expanding business!!!
such a cool idea to use and hang a whole piece of leather as deco siah.... i also want to sign on that piece of leather!!! ... wahahaha....
the workshop started off with a lecture on leather; the genuine vs the faux and the process on how animal skin becomes leather
so many colours to choose from!!!
yet my favourite is still the basic camel brown.... got it to match my special 4-way coin pouch which i bought from them last year... =)
and after about 30 minutes of hard work ... i have a handcrafted key chain that is matchy matchy with my coin pouch.... luv luv.... wanted to transfer my keys over immediately then i remembered that i did not have my keys with me that day... wahahaha... sleepy me had left home without my keys in the morning.... =S
happi participants showing off our new leather key chains... yeah!!!
while Fid was checking out some of the other courses (pyrography, leather book cover binding, mandala etc) that were available in the next few weeks, i took a walk around the studio and found myself at their display corner and this cute little sling bag caught my eye.... small and simple yet spacious enough for all my barang barang on a typical weekend date...
 took me more than 20 minutes and 2 tries with it in front of the mirror before i decided that it shall be my hatchday gift to myself... ordered one in camel brown and received a discount on it for being a returning customer...  =D
am waiting eagerly for collection day....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

opened up the goody bags that Fid gave and found so much love in them....
Thanks Fid!!! All the best for your NAEA 2018 presentation...
