Day 5 in North Korea - Hike @ Mount Kumgang and Samil Lagoon + Masikryong Hotel

A 3 hour + hike up & down Mount Kumgang to start our 5th day morning ...  

It was windy throughout the hike, making the hike enjoyable and doable with no sticky sticky feel and no smelly smelly smell... =)

Plenty of such carved wordings on the rocks / stones / pavements in this reserve  

connecting bridges were simple, sturdy and very well maintained 

People just love to put their imagination onto the rock formation...  this one below is a 'turtle / tortoise head"

if i remember correctly, this rock formation above is of a "sleeping pregnant lady"

i no like steps... =S

tour guide said couple must 手牵手 while going through this tunnel to symbolise an everlasting love ... i only have me, myself and I... =/

Seeing the never ending stairs from this 90% point, partner & I decided that this point shall be our 'self-declared' peak.... so we sat and chat and enjoyed the breeze while the rest continued up the steps to the mountain peak...  

pretty scenery + good weather = good mood + good camera phone = more selfie... =D

After lunch, we went on another hike on the Samil Lagoon Course ... famous because a king stayed here for 3 days because he was captivated by its beauty ... (._.!!!) 

Partner & I

a much shorter hike that was quite dangerous at certain points, especially for the elderly... 

steep slopes with tiny steps at the edge of a boulder, 

even had to climb up a huge rock

oh my butt!!! and my pinkies!!! .... wahahahahah

Partner 怕水 so me so 婆婆 and I had to 'kiap' her across the suspension bridge.... =D

one minute view during the hour+ bumpy ride to the famous Masikryong Hotel ....  

the -1 , -2 buttons represent basement 1 and basement 2 of the hotel where the pools, gym, hair salon etc were located...

pretty & clean room but bed not comfy enough... =S 

very spacious and clean washroom

high quality toiletries provided... 'kop' the toothbrush home... wahahahaha

what caught my attention was that the two ladies were walking in sync as if they were marching lo...
