Meni Pedi date with 蔡 mummy
upon the success of the first Chua's outing to USS during dec 2011, i had made having a Chua's outing every school holiday as one of my resolution for 2012...=)... but everyone seems to be busy...alfred has to work, angela has to work, alvin has trainings ....so left 蔡 mummy and myself...
initially, i wanted to bring 蔡 mummy to batam for massage at my favourite ktm resort.... made booking but before i could proceed with the payment, i remembered that i might not be convenient to use the hydro bubble bath...=S....sianx.... and so heng we din go else we would be affected by the train break down from dhoby ghaut to vivocity where we were supposed to take the ferry to batam this morning... =P
so in the end, arranged for meni + pedi @ angelsky instead.... this package of mine is at least 4 years old....bought it at $388 (exclusive of GST) for 10 sessions.... i would consider it super worth it la.... dun remember all the details on how i gotten such a good deal...i just remembered that i kept rejecting their hardselling thus they kept reducing the price and even throw in privileges such as i can substitute any of the session for a 45 minutes massage and that i can bring another person along to share the session.... =) ...
tried their massage once 2 - 3 year ago....nothing fantastic and hate it that the massuse kept grumbling that 45 minutes is too short for a proper body massage and i should extend it to a double session of 1.5 hours...extremely hate it that she stopped on the dot with just a head, shoulder and arm massage cos not enough time to complete the rest of the body....
i was mad cos the person who sold me the package said that i could HAVE a body massage for 45 minutes then they should jolly well give me a BODY massage within that 45 minutes la....
anyway, before the pampering, 蔡 mummy and i went for lunch... =) ... brought her to Jus Acia located at dhoby ghaut exchange, love the place for its low price that includes free flow of drinks + floats + coffee + ice-cream...i only paid $15.10 for 2 set meals...

but too bad, we were rushing for our meni + pedi appointment at 1pm, so only had 1 serving of hot milo and ice-cream.. super lugi.... =(

she had strawberry and mango
with a cup of coffee
and i had
strawberry tiramisu with
lemon mint tea
total $20.... even more expensive than our lunch.... but what to do???? their cakes are so yummilious.... =S

looking at her hands, and comparing them to mine,
my heart ached.... her pair of hands are so wrinkled.... i feel that it's not only because she's no longer young but also because of the amount of hard labour she did to ensure that there was money for the family when we were all younger....
suddenly became very emo.... started to think through alot of things that had happened these few years....all the drama, all the roller coaster rides, all the nonsense.... and of cos the things that were said today....
conclude that she may not be the best mother in the world, she may not know how to communicate with us in a manner that we are more comfortable in, she may annoyed us to the max with her dramas and nonsense from time to time but she is definitely the one who slogged and will slog her life for us and she's definitely there when we get into any trouble or is sick and she will definitely put us and the family before herself.....
all i can say is...u want to be fair....then have u been fair to her??? you can say that we are not being fair to him, but has he been fair to us and her??? u know she wants u but does he really want u??? she may treat u as invisible but does she not know that u came home late??? does she not know that you were sick and popping pills these few days??? u really think she dun care???
