windmills along the drive to San Francisco
was curious why were the tree crowns being tied up like that?? then some tied some not tied also....
The Golden Gate Bridge form afar
saw alcatraz island - was in the plan to visit but tickets were all sold out for the 2 days we were in san franc... =S
glittering skyscrapers in the hearts of San Francisco....
din expect San Francisco to be this super hilly with super many cross junctions and traffic lights...
Tram
and the messy tram cables that lined the city
some pretty housing around the area.... =)
we din know that San Francisco could be that packed over the weekend.... here's Kim using her ipad mini to search for accommodation for the night
it was with much panic and effort that we managed to book two rooms in sans franc
thanks and no thanks to this hotel/motel/hostel ...
thanks for being the first accommodation, after numerous, which had the last two rooms available for us
but no thanks for the tiny tiny room that did not come with an attached toilet and bath... =S....
thankfully, the shared bath area and toilet were very clean...
and no thanks to the price tag of usd$130+ per night as well...
the bed was way too small for two ppl to sleep comfortably together
so i volunteered to sleep on the floor with the thick fluffy blanket as my 'sleeping bag' ...
made the right choice, cos it got rather cooling at night (even without aircon), the blanket allowed me to snuggle within and on the pretext that i was sleeping on the floor, i took 2 out of the 3 pillows... wahahahahaha....
plus point was the coffee maker in the lobby
luv the French Vanilla, especially when we just returned from the cold cold outdoor
