Day 4 in Japan - Romantic Sagano Train to Arashiyama Bamboo Forest

On our 4th morning in Japan 

把冰棒当早餐的蔡小弟

took JR Sagano Line from Kyoto Station to Umahori station for 320¥ (S$3.50) each and 25 minutes later, we reached...

 Umahori station is a 10 minute walk to Kameoka Torokko Station, the terminal for the Romantic Sagano Train to Bamboo forest.... 

cute signage along the walk between the 2 stations.... 

almost everyone was suffering from dried skin due to the low humility and sleepy syndrome but no worries.... my 神奇水 to the rescue.... =)   

乡村 feel along the way....

Woo.... horse carriage for tourist rental 

feeding station at 100¥ (S$1.10) per cup of 3 sticks of carrot.... 

Why you no like the carrot that i bought????

rushing back to the station to catch the 10.35am train...

5 carriages in each train with carriage 5 as the roof-less super romantic cart

we paid for the 620¥ (S$6.75) one way ticket

choo choo choo choo.... in came our train.... 


so old school... i like....

saw the 2 hour boat ride cruise

passed by Hozkukyo Torokko Station 

before we reached Arashiyama Torokko Station about 15 to 20 mins later

ice-cream puff from one of the roadside stalls as breakfast for 蔡三宝

and a 5 minutes walk from the station, 

we reached the Bamboo Forest 

so many people!!!

imagine all of them were pandas instead... the visit would be perfect.... wahahahahaha

can see that 蔡 mummy was super lousy at finding a position to ensure that her whole face was in the pic.... =S

this was what we saw when we came out from the toilet..... 

the boys were just ALWAYS ready for food.... 


the tummy in this photo was accumulated during the first 3 days of the trip..grew quite consistently throughout the trip and was gone three weeks after we returned to Singapore.... Good Job Alfred!!!!
