Semangat Yang Baru @ National Musuem Singapore

redeemed the famous Singapore breakfast for lunch before going for today's NE gai gai...

Had signed up for a $5 package that included transport to & fro National Museum from Serangoon MRT station and a guided tour for Semangat Yang Baru exhibition @ National Museum

we were allowed to choose Team Bao Li for Chinese commentary or Team Hidaya for English commentary... i was in Team Bao Li cos lesser people... 😏

nice to see so many old couples, old friends as fellow participants... i'm really living a retiree's life seh... 😍😍😍

really nice to have a guide cos got to listen to plenty of interesting historical stories...

> National Museum was opened as Raffles Library & Museum in 1887.
> It remained intact during WWII & Japanese Occupation because the museum housed many plant specimens and a super high rank Japanese soldier loved plants. Not only did he gave orders not to destroy the colonial building, he had his minion soldiers patrolled to protect the building and also the statue of Raffles which was hidden beneath the building. 😅😅😅

didnt even know Semangat Yang Baru is actually the lyric in the National Anthem despite listening to it every work day...
